Designed with the intent to create a seamless connection between the existing residence and the exterior yard space, this renovation project was guided by the client's desire to maximize the use of outdoor areas as extended living spaces without adding any new square footage. The exterior of the building was thoughtfully wrapped in an IPE rainscreen, not only enhancing the aesthetic appeal but also improving the building's durability and environmental performance. Internally, the floor plan was strategically reconfigured to foster a more open and fluid layout, aligning with modern living preferences while subtly guiding the occupants towards the newly landscaped yard. This approach effectively blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing the residents to fully engage with their surroundings and experience the outdoor areas as integral components of their daily lives. The renovation honors the original structure while transforming it into a harmonious blend of indoor comfort and outdoor connectivity, tailored to the unique lifestyle aspirations of the client.
